Ayushmann is back with yet another quirky socially relevant topic of homosexuality. Even though legally India has accepted love between the same sex but as far as the Indian society is concerned the stigma still prevails and Ayushmann has yet another tried to break this social stigma through his upcoming film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan. Recently, the trailer of the film was released and it has left everyone in splits.

Ayushman once again in his usually unusual stint, chose a topic that is considered to be a stigma in Indian society. The trailer starts with Ayushman’s relative unable to say the word gay and Ayushmann saying it in all normalcy. The trailer of the film has everything that is considered to be a taboo in our society related to same-sex love. Where in, the trailer is packed with Kartik (Ayushmann Khurana) and Aman’s (Jitendra Kumar) first meet in totally filmy DDLJ style which then is backed by their families who cannot accept them and forces Aman to marry a girl. Later on, we see Ayushmann gatecrashing Jitendra’s wedding.

The trailer of the film is nothing but all bits hilarious along with addressing the most common stigma that our society is stuck with currently. Ayushmann through his character delivery has tried to make same-sex love as normal as any other love story. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which also starred Bhumi Pednekar alongside Ayushmann Khurana revolved around the problem of erectile dysfunction a much hesitated problem to talk about.

Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan also stars Maanvi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthi along with Ayushmann Khurana, Jitendra Kumar and has Bhumi Pednekar in a cameo.

Ayushmann had in the past given critically acclaimed performances in socially relevant films like Bala, Dream Girl, Article 15 and Badhaai Ho.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is set to release on February 21.
