Saif Ali Khan garnered a lot of applause with his webseries ‘Sacred Games’ and now he looks menacingly dashing in the poster release of the upcoming revenge drama ‘Laal Kaptaan’. The actor will be playing the role of a naga sadhu proving that his versatility coffers has been added by a new gem. The actor received a lot of critical praise with his performance in the web series which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankajj Tripathi, Kalki Koechilin and Ranveer Shorey in pivotal roles. With his portrayal of myriad roles, the actor has been growing each day into a real star of the millennial. Saif has been seen shifting from mainstream romantic roles to taking up rogue characters in ‘Go Goa Gone’ or ‘Being Cyrus’.
Laal Kaptaan will be spreading its magic on 15 October this year and is an Anand L Rai’s masterpiece. The movie which is co-produced by Colour Yellow Productions recently took to their Instagram account to reveal the poster of their upcoming revenge drama. The picture was captioned with a revenge dialogue, clearing the apprehensions of the audience following the release of the poster.
The lead actor is also excited about his forthcoming movie. Saif’s Bollywood career has been a hill ride where he might have hit some bumps. Initially, his career started as a sidekick from ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anadi’ and ‘Ek Tha Raja’. After his marvellous performance in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, Khan started getting proposals for new and better movies.
His movie ‘Tara Rum Pum Pum’ starring Rani Mukherjee was a great hit among the audience, following the peak of his career. With the success of movies like Salaam Namaste, Hum Tum and Race, Saif Ali Khan proved that he alone can bear the brunt and can even turn the movie into a successful franchise.
Saif proved with Sacred Games that he hasn’t lost his luck just yet despite his on-going flops. Although his movies did not fare well at the box office, Saif was contented with the choices he made. On the work front, there are rumours of a sequel for ‘Goa Goa Gone’ starring the actor. He would also be seen in ‘Jawani Jaaneman’ starring Tabu and Monic Bedi’s daughter Alia Furniturewala. Moreover, word around town is that the actor will be collaborating with Amir Khan on the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha.
