But he simply doesn’t end there. Apart from his professional life, he also is the husband of one’s dream. Recently, his wife Tahira Kashyap is known to be battling with breast cancer. It was really inspiring to see how Ayushman Khurana supported her wife Tahira throughout her ongoing battle with breast cancer. Tahira has always had an attitude of never giving up and the actor seems to be influenced by her. It was almost stimulating to see how incredibly they stood for each other for fighting cancer with their indomitable courage.

Ayushman on Tahira Kashyap’s Strong Willed Determination

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Ayushman shared her feelings about how the news of the disease came out last year on his birthday. He gives all the credit to his wife Tahira Kashyap to be standing tall and positive because if she wouldn’t have she confesses that he would have been broken completely. He also mentioned that at that period of time he was already in between promoting for AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho. He adds that he got to know about her breast cancer on his birthday, 14th September while they both were watching the film Manmarziyaan.

Ayushman further revealed how composed his wife was when he himself got scared. She reacted on the episode very positively and she was determined that both of them will be fighting for the disease and also for the promotion of the films at the same time. “I want to just celebrate my life. I’ll take it head on and we are together in this both fighting the disease and also in promoting the films.”

There was an equal amount of effort from both of the sides and they worked hard for each other. Thankfully, Tahira succeeded in her battle for breast cancer and she also seems to inspire others in her lecture on cancer, how to fight it and how to combat it. For many cancer patients, she had become quite a leader and inspirational.

In the upcoming film Dream Girl, Ayushman Khan will be seen with Nushrat Bharucha. The film is about to be released on 13th September. Ayushman Khurana plays the role of a cop in Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15. The actor also will be shooting for Bala with Bhumi Padnekar and it will be produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. Bhumi will be playing as a dusky small town girl. The director Amar Kaushik who also directed the biggest horror comedy hits Stree is also the director of Bala.
