The film has hit the highest opening numbers in Alia Bhatt’s career with Rs 18.70 crore. After the Simmba, this is Ranveer Singh’s second highest opening film in his career. Director Zoya Akhtar is being appreciated by the film critics all across the media for this amazing film. As her last films Dil Dhadakane Do and Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara haven’t performed well at the box office.

Comparing the charm of Simmba with the just release Gully Boy, film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi told media “The impact of Simmba would be seen significantly on Gully Boy. After an actor comes out of a pan-India hit, the audience obviously anticipates a lot from his next film. After Padmaavat and Simmba, audience is looking forward to Gully Boy.”
