Bhubaneswar local outfit, Kalinga Sena has threatened Bollywood King Khan by throwing black ink and showing him a Black Flag, when he visits the city next week during Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018.
According to the reports, the chief of Kalinga Sena has demanded that the actor apologies for insulting Odisha and its population in his film Asoka was released 17 years back.
The Sena lodged a complaint in police on 1 November, the outfit claimed that the film had hurt the sentiments of the Odisha people and disrespected the culture and portrayed wrong Kalinga War.
The Kalinga War held in 265 BC it is known as one of the bloodiest battles, in which the Maurya Empire defeated Kalinga ruler and take over their region. The film Asoka was directed by Santosh Sivas with the stars Shah Rukh Khan with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film was released in 2001 and did not run in Odisha more than 7 days due to some protests.
Kalinga Sena general secretary gave a statement on this issue.
Nihar Pani said that:
“We have made preparation to throw ink on the actor’s face and show him black flag at any place from the airport to the stadium. Our activists will remain present all along the road where Khan is likely to visit.”
The actor is ready for his next release Anand L. Rai’s directorial Zero. The film will release on 21 December this year. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a vertically challenged man. Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma also played the pivoted role in the film. Let see will this controversy affects the film release and its earning. This is not the first time when King Khan entraps in controversy. We are waiting for that where this issue turns and the decision comes in which side.
