Rita Ora’s comeback track ‘Girls’ features the trio of amazing women – Bebe Rexha, 28, Charli XCX, 25, and the hip hop queen Cardi B, 25. The lyrics of the song feature bisexuality, where the girls are singing about kissing other girls and that they don’t need a man. Listen the song here.

Rita Ora said that the single had been cooking for a long time now. The song in bits and pieces were going around since 2017. The involvement of Charli and Bebe was well known but Rita did not confirm the involvement of Cardi B until 4th of May. She said:

“I’m so happy to finally announce my new single GIRLS feat some amazing powerful women who have inspired me so much! These past few years I’ve been so inspired by all the strong women I’ve seen who aren’t afraid to be themselves. For those who aren’t afraid to rule the world, this is our anthem. A celebration of love. And of course thank you to all the fellow boss women who so kindly graced this song with me — each representing who they are and where they are from. I hope you dance your socks off with us!”

Rita and Charli’s Teaming up in the past.

This is not the first time that Rita and Charli have teamed up. In 2015 they collaborated in ‘Doing it’ and Rita also appeared in Charli’s remix of ‘After the Afterparty’. Charli said that when it came to teaming up with Rita she didn’t gave it a second thought and was instantly up for it. She added that she loves genuinuty in her music and considers her as her true friend. She said that nothing could be more fun than making music with your friends.
