According to the reports, the movie will not release in Karnataka after the controversial statement by Rajinikanth, because this is against the state during the Cauvery issue.

But the superstar does not understand the exact reason, why should his film banned in Karnataka. When he asked about the ban, he said that:

“I don’t know the reason for that (film being banned). I only came to know about it yesterday.”

He also said that he hopes that the South Indian Film Chamber will help him and take suitable steps to release Kaala in Karnataka.

KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu told that:

“As an actor, he always handled issues on Cauvery in a diplomatic way. But when he entered politics and formed a party, he made a direct attack on us, which has not gone down well with Karnataka. It is a question of our prestige and we want to keep our word. We will not allow his film to be released here.”

“A decision has been taken that Rajinikanth’s movie will neither be distributed nor screened anywhere in Karnataka,”

He also said that:

“The ban will remain because neither will he apologise for his statement nor are we going to pardon him,”

For those who do not know about that during the Cauvery issue, Rajini said that:

“Centre will face Tamil Nadu wrath if it fails to set up CMB (Cauvery Management Board) plunge.”

Few groups and KFCC said to Rajinikanth to apologize and take his words back. Let see what will happen, will Rajinikanth apologies or not. Kaala is a thriller drama film which is directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Rajini’s son-in-law Dhanush.
