Padmavati Box Office Collection Prediction Day 1: Reports of houseful shows of Padmavati are coming from all over the nations. The ticket rates of Padmavati have soared to the sky. The premium tickets are priced at the rate of Rs. 2200 while the super premium tickets at the rate of Rs. 2400. Inspite of tickets selling at such sky soaring rates the shows are going houseful and advance booking for future shows. Good news for the Padmavati ( now named as Padmaavat) after controversy is doing a good business at the box office.

 Had the situations been normal it is predicted that The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmavati would have collected Rs 20 Crore on Day 1 itself. But as the situations in many states is heated up due to a controversy it is difficult to estimate what the actual situation be as the movie releases today on January 25. Whereas the securities have been increased in states like  Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana it is still difficult for the viewers to decide whether they can risk to watch the movie Padmaavat in theatres.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversy filled Magnum Opus Padmaavat ( was earlier named as Padmavati) has finally seen the light of day today as it releases on January 25th.

The film was supposed to release on December 1st but due to the fury around the film its release was delayed for a indefinite period until today. Even after the CBFC clearing the period drama the protests against the film fail to subside. The Supreme Court stayed the ban laid by various state Governments but the protest still continues even till yesterday, a day before the release.

Good news for the producers of Padmavati. Massive footfall and housefull shows are seen at the cinemas where the no violence has happened. People are showing up in huge numbers to watch the super conflicted and controversial movie Padmaavat (Padmavati). The movie has recieved a lot of praise for Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh from the people who watched the morning show. Following the word of mouth more people are expected to watch the afternoon and evening shows. The movie Padmavati is expected to cross 5 crores on Day 1 itself.

Girish Johar’s view on Box Office Collection.

Girish Johar, The Film business and trade analyst also said the similar story. He mentioned the situation of the release of the film very peculiar. He said:

“After the Supreme Court has stayed the ban placed by various states, there are two things happening. First, the government is trying to ensure effective law and order so that the film gets a fair viewing but on the other hand, there are also rumours that the government is advising theater owners to avoid the release of the film to maintain peace in the respective cities.”

The controversy has affected the advance booking of the movie in many cities. But the strategic decision to release the movie on Thursday can prove beneficial for the makers as the controversy may subside by the time weekend arrive.
