The Ramesh Taurani produced Race movie series is all set to have its third installment. The action suspense thriller franchise has made several changes for the third movie. Most importantly the leads have been changed. Saif Ali Khan has been swapped in favor of Salman Khan. There is no news whether Anil Kapoor will be a part of it or not. Choreographer turned movie director Remo D’Souza will be directing the movie instead of the duo of Abbas Mustan who directed the first two movies. The first movie, Race was released in 2008 and was an instant hit at the box office, whereas the second movie, Race 2 got released in 2013 and was another commercial success for the franchise encouraging them to extend the series even further.

Bobby Deol was added to the cast of the movie today morning as Ramesh Taurani seemed really happy about his addition and said in an interview, “I have worked with Bobby earlier and both Soldier and Naqaab were a great experience. He is an absolute delight to work with, very professional and a really nice guy. He will be styled differently in the film and you will see him in a never seen before avatar.”

When he was asked about the character he plays in the movie, Taurani added, “In Race, all characters are grey. You will have to watch the film to figure out what exactly each one is playing.”

Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen in the movie as the female lead and she is only one in this movie who has featured in any of the previous movies of the series as she was among the cast of the 2013 movie Race 2.

Many actors were considered to be cast in the movie previously. There was news that Shah Rukh Khan was offered a negative role in the movie which rejected because he wasn’t interested in playing a negative role. Amitabh Bachchan in a recent interview said that he opted out of Race 3 because of his previous commitments.

Other actors such as Emraan Hashmi, Siddhartha Malhotra, and Sooraj Pancholi were in talks related to the movie too but Bobby Doel along with Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez was finally confirmed by the producer Ramesh Taurani as he went to post it on twitter this morning, “Welcome to the family #BobbyDeol @BeingSalmanKhan @Asli_Jacqueline #Race3 #Eid2018”.

According to the sources, the movie will be shot in various locations across Europe, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Singapore. The filming is expected to begin in Early November and the movie will hit the theatres on Eid of 2018.
