Veere Di Wedding is facing virtually no competition from the other Bollywood release this week – Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. But it does have a strong competition from the Punjabi film ‘Carry On Jatta 2‘, that is doing extremely well in North India.
It remains to be seen if the film is able to maintain its winning streak at the box office as Jurassic World – the Fallen Kingdom will release on Thursday. The release could hit collections a little especially the urban crowd with whom Veere Di Wedding has found some appreciation.
The movies that appeal to the urban crowd is known to have a solid start but they end up having a limited audience of around 60 lakh footfalls. Similar have had been observed with the films like Dear Zindagi, Kapoor & Sons, Neerja, and Pink.
