Veere Di Wedding witnessed great footfall on the Day 3 saw as well. Helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film takes you through the journey of four BFF’s figuring their way in life; namely The ‘Veere’s,’ Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.

The film garnered 13.57 Crore on Sunday, taking its domestic to 36.52 Crore after the opening weekend.

It scored great in Delhi / UP and East Punjab and in other circuits, where multiplexes dominate. But underperformed in Mumbai due to the conservative circuit dominated by the family audiences in the Gujarat / Saurashtra belt.

The comeback film of Kareena after been missing from the big screen for two years and her off-screen camaraderie with Sonam Kapoor was stirring quite a pre-release buzz. Adding to Buzz was the films sort of offbeat Musicality with songs like Tareefah, Bhagra Ta Sajda, Munni and the title track Veere.

Veere Di Wedding is an urban film with limited appreciation restricted to a few cities so the Monday and upcoming weekday is important for the film to grab the ‘HIT’ tag.

The core Hindi film audience has not really taken to the film but the hold need not be huge on Monday to be successful. As long as the target audience in the metros is there for the next ten days or so it should put up a good lifetime total.
