Box Office Collection Day 1: Uri: The Surgical Strike This week, cinema saw two nation centric films Uri: The Surgical Strike and Anupam Kher starer Accidental Prime Minister. While the run, Accidental Prime Minister has scored an ok amount than Uri : The Surgical Strike’s box office collection.

According to Box Office India report, Uri : The Surgical Strike first-day collection was quite good as it opened up with Rs 8.25 crore. However, its opening has also surpassed the predictions of trade analyst who guessed that Uri will earn around Rs 7 crore. Film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi had said that “Uri is a movie on a subject which is very raw and about which all of us as Indians feel strongly. The film should get traction at the box office,”
This is Vicky Kaushal first solo release which surprised everyone across the Bollywood. Karan Johar praising him wrote “What an incredible actor @vickykaushal09 is! His performance is a blend of strength and sensitivity !!! This film will take the actor to stardom! He is OUTSTANDING! Great work by debut director @AdityaDharFilms !! He’s a director to watch out for!! Proud work!”
Trade analyst Taran Adasrh tweeted its collection “#2019 begins with a bang… #UriTheSurgicalStrike embarks on a flying start… Should witness growth on Day 2 and Day 3… Fri ₹ 8.20 cr. India biz. #Uri”
Being a controversial film, Anupam Kher Starer The Accidental Prime Minister is making decent amount at Box Office as the film has opened up with Rs 4.50 crore. Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, the film was panned by the critics as they said that the film is biased and setting a false mindset against Manmohan Singh.
