Badhaai Ho Box Office Collection Day 8: Ayushmann’s film has a strong run at the cinema houses

Finally, its first week is over with an amazing score at the box office. Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Badhaai Ho did an outstanding collection at the domestic market. Owing to Dussehra festival, Badhaai Ho has got complete benefit of the fest as it has opened up with a whopping amount Rs 7.29 crore, on Friday Rs 11.67 crore, on Saturday Rs 12.50 crore which has made its total collection to Rs 31.46 crore.

While talking about its success, director Amit Sharma said to IANS “It is like a dream. When we were writing, we didn’t think about whether this film will enter in 50 crores or 100 crore club. We were only concentrating on making a good film.”

However, the film has earned Rs 61.85 crore in its first week including Wednesday collection Rs 5 crore. Besides, the film entered into among the top 10 opening films, trumping Stree and Raazi’s box office.

Taran Adarsh tweeted its overseas collection  “#BadhaaiHo is raking in big numbers in Australia… Something that’s associated with A-list stars or big-budget movies… Thu A$ 1,033 Fri A$ 68,079 Sat A$ 108,815 / 23 locations Total: A$ 177,927 [₹ 92.98 lakhs].”

Starring, Neena Gupta, Gajrao Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra in the pivotal roles, the story of the film revolves around sex life of a middle-aged couple who ended up with the unwanted pregnancy. Afterward, it has lots of drama and comedy to make the audience laugh. While this is truly Badhaai Ho moment for the actor Ayushmann Khurrana as his second film after the AndhaDhun has made moolah at the box office.

Countries like the US and Canada, Badhaai Ho has crossed 1 million mark and earned around Rs 7.32 crore in terms of Indian currency.
