Petta Vs Viswasam 1st day box office collection This Pongal, the state Tamilnadu has seen two blockbuster films Viswasam and Petta and both are giving a tough fight to each other. Rajnikanth’s Petta is receiving much acclaim than all of his recent releases as people seeing him as 90s Rajnikanth. The film has dramatic action sequences which made people drove to cinema halls.
On the other hand, Ajith Viswasam is also making a huge round of applause as it Box Office collection in Tamil state is a little bit higher that Petta. Not even in that state, both films are receiving good response from all across the country.
Talking about Petta first day box office collection, then the film has opened up with Rs 14 crores at Tamilnadu while it has collected Rs 7.50 crores from other Indian states, thus its total collection stands with Rs 21.50 crore.
Interestingly, Rajnikanth’s Petta has been directed by none other than Rajnikanth’s fan Karthik Subbaraj who also said that “I was working at a software company but it is because of Rajinikanth sir I became passionate about films. Rajnikanth sir sends a lot of positive vibes even when he is miles away. After Pizza, I got a call from Rajinikanth’s house. I thought some of my friends were pulling a prank on me until I heard his voice from the other end,”
Ajith starrer Viswasam is also going parallel with Petta but the film has recieved mixed reviews from the critics and audience. In Tamilnadu state Thala starrer Viswasam got a huge response than Petta but facing tough competition in its outskirts.
The Sathya Jyothi Film’s production film has opened up on a record-breaking note and also witnessed full house in every cinema. Throughout the day, Viswasam has grossed Rs 17 crores in Tamilnadu and Rs 5 crores in other states. Its total collection stands with Rs 22 crore.
According to trade analyst, no new release can mark dent on their earning as Uri and The Accidental Prime Minister in on its way to release. Thus, the chances are low of its slowing down in collection.
