Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee starer film Aiyaary hit the screens on February 16. The Neeraj Pandey directorial is off to an extremely slow start at the box office followed by a slower Sunday. Aiyaary has fallen flat at the box office and has managed to collect 11.70 Crore, over its first weekend.
After blockbuster hits like Baby, MS Dhoni and Special 26 among others, Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary is proving to be a disappointment for the director. The prediction made by trade analyst is correct, the film failed to earn Rs 15 crore on its first weekend.

Aiyaary is the story of two army officers, Sidharth and Manoj played the army officer role. Rakul Preet Singh is also in the lead role in the film, however, it is receiving a mixed response from the audience and critics review. But the film is failed to attract the audience to the cinema halls. Surprisingly, Sidharth’s previous films like A Gentleman and Ittefaq had fared well over their respective first weekend. Ittefaq had grossed 14.82 crore despite being made at around half the cost of Aiyaary, reported Box Office India.
Clearly this was not what the makers of Aiyaary were expecting, despite pushing the release dates of their film twice. The film was earlier announced to be released on January 26, but with Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed ‘Padmaavat’ being announced for the same day’s release, Aiyaary’s release was pushed to February 9.
The film release was rescheduled again after the release of Akshay Kumar’s PadMan got postponed until the same date i.e. February 9. Aiyaary finally hit the screens on February 16.
