Starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan
Deven Yuvvraaj (played by Salman Khan) dreams of becoming a great musician along with his love, a cellist named Anoushka (Katrina Kaif), but since he’s still struggling to achieve success many years after leaving home, he decides to try to cash in on his family’s wealth—and his estranged brothers Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor) and Danny (Zayed Khan) stand in the way. Gyanesh is an autistic musical genius with an enormous heart and not the slightest care for money, Danny is a greedy brat who lives to have fun, and Deven is somewhere in between, conflicted by his competing desires. The film borrows heavily from the plot of acclaimed Hollywood film Rain Man (1988), but the story here is weak. However, with the exception of Zayed Khan, the actors deliver entertaining performances, especially Anil Kapoor, who is impressive in his challenging role. And the stirring soundtrack—much of it Western classical music—by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is the highlight of the film.
Yuvvraaj is rated Worth Watching.
