THE TRAILER FOR “CRISIS ON EARTH-X” RELEASES AND IT’S FREAKING GREAT
The CW is on its way to make history as they released the official trailer for “Crisis on Earth-X”. The crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’S Legends of Tomorrow, looks interesting and exciting for the fans of the comic books. DC has joined hands The CW network to produce what will be their most anticipated episodes for all the respective TV shows.
The crossover, titled “Crisis on Earth-X,” will be broadcasted over two nights. It will open with “Supergirl” and “Arrow” on Monday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. EST, and conclude with “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow” on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
The extended trailer of 2 minutes and 53 seconds saw some really intriguing glimpses. The trailer opens with the ceremony that brings all our superheroes at one place, the wedding of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton). In the initial parts of the trailer, we see the pre-wedding preparations and what supposedly seemed like an engagement ceremony. But then, the trailer jumps cuts to the wedding day where an army of the Nazis appear from absolutely nowhere (Yup, the Nazis from the World War II).
The entry of the Nazis triggers the action sequence, which was the highlight of the entire trailer. The chaos continues as all the superheroes team up to fight against the unwanted guests at Barry’s wedding.
The first confrontation among the Earth-X villains and the Arrowverse heroes only comes to a pause when Kara (Melissa Benoist) achieves to take down Overgirl (also played by Benoist), who appears to be one of the invaders’ leaders.
After some time in the trailer, Kara is observed in the imprisonment of the Nazis, while Barry, Oliver (Stephen Amell), Stein (Victor Garber), Jax (Franz Drameh), Sara (Caity Lotz), and Alex (Chyler Leigh) was seen handcuffed and seem to be giving up. But everything just alters suddenly as Earth-X heroes, including Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller), enters the scene and attempts to help.
As the fight against the Nazi’s moves to another level, Oliver, and Felicity, vow to protect Earth-1 no matter what. “We’re gonna show these people that this Earth belongs to us,” Oliver says.
“We will not surrender,” Felicity adds. “We will not back down. We will keep fighting.”
While the crossover is assumed to be bundled with action, “Arrow” executive producer has revealed that “the biggest surprise will be the emotional component of the crossover. I don’t think anyone is going to see that coming. It’s very much a dark love story. It’s the underpinnings of that that will make the Earth-X element a real contrast to that,” Mericle said.
The crossover starts airing on Monday and the fans of the show are already in a lot of craze building up to the premiere.
