Love Aaj Kal trailer, starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead role, is out and reminds the viewers of Imtiaz Ali’s 2009 film of the same name. The film promises to be a perfect blend of modern-day and past love as it shows two time zones — 1990 and 2020. The three minutes long trailer, tackles the ever-changing dynamic of being in and finding love. The protagonists, Veer and Zoe traverse this tricky path of love while trying their luck in finding the answers to these questions. In the trailer, we see two timelines. One features Sara and Kartik living in the present-day world, and the other one has Kartik and debutante Arushi Sharma playing school kids back in 1990 As of now, the film is quite reminiscent of the original 2009 film. The timelines, the music, the setting – everything feels like we have seen it before. Since Saif was a part of the original, it would be a nice surprise if he has a cameo in the film.
The film has been majorly shot in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh and several behind the scene pictures and videos were shared by the lead actors on their social media handles. This is Sara’s third film and is the remake of 2009 original that starred her father Saif Ali Khan opposite Deepika Padukone. It also had Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Giselli Monteiro in prominent roles.
Love Aaj Kal has been produced by Dinesh Vijan and Imtiaz Ali. Ali joins hands with music composer Pritam again. The two have earlier collaborated on films like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Love Aaj Kal releases on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
