Taapsee Pannu expresses her gratitude to Indian Vice President Venkiah Naidu : Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, who are all geared up for their next action drama movie ‘Saand Ki Ankh’ expressed their gratitude to Indian Vice President Venkiah Naidu post the special screening of their movie. The actress took to her Twitter account to covery thanks for the complimentary regards expressed by the Vice President regarding their upcoming movie.
The movie, which is an action drama features two veterans who essentially are sharpshooters and pick up guns at the age of 50 for the sake and the wellbeing of their daughters who are considered less than men in their conservative and patriarchal district.
The cast and crew for Saand Ki Aankh held a special screening for the Vice President of India and his family in Delhi. Post the film screening, Naidu praised the entire cast of the movie and expressed his appreciation for the underlying idea which the movie represents. However, in response, it was Taapsee who took to her social media accounts and reverted gratitude to the Vice President.
She said in her tweet how immensely thankful she is for all the praise and compliments the movie got after screening. She is also thankful for the Vice President who invited the entire cast and crew of the movie and heaped praise and laurels. According to Taapsee, it was an honour to have met the Vice President and shared space at his place. She is delighted to have the Vice President and his family as the first audience of the little gem they so perseveringly forged.
Venkiah Naidu tweeted the photos of the special screening on his Twitter account which featured his family and the cast of the movie. The real life heroes on whom the movie is based, Chandro and Prakashi Tomar were also seen at the screening of the movie at Naidu’s place. Naidu tweeted that he was absolutely inspired after watching the movie at Upa Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The movie has been directed by Tushar Hiranandani and is set to inspire the women across the nation. The movie portrays how two women pick up guns at the age of 50 and discover their hidden ability for shooting. Later on, they go on winning 352 medals each in shooting tournaments representing the country. The movie describes inequality which has been rooted in the core of the society and how two women vow to change the scenario for their daughters and granddaughters.
