Box Office Collection Bigil Vs Housefull 4: This Diwali the movie theatres have seen various blockbuster films from Thalapathy Vijay’s Bigil to Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4. There are also Rajkumar Rao starrer Made In China and Bhumi Padnekar and Tapsee Pannu starrer Sand Ki Aankh which are making huge noise on this Diwali fest. However, Thalapathy Vijay’s Bigil is leading the ticket windows of Cinema houses as people are booking this film in advance.
Produced by AGS Entertainment the film Bigil has grossed Rs 200 crore from its pre-booking. The film is made under the Budget of Rs 180 crore as the makers have worked to make this film iconic. There’s an incident when makers have to spend Rs 6 crore only to erect a football stadium for the shoot.
Vijay can be seen in the dual role, first as a father and another as a son. Being a father he will be seen as a gangster and as a son, he will be the coach of a women’s football team. Bigil also stars Jackie Shroff, Nayanthara, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in a significant roles.
The renowned critic and showbiz industry tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted “Bigil is a Pakka Mass Entertainer with a good message..Thalapathy Vijay has simply rocked in multiple roles.. Rayappan is Mass with dignity..Coach Michael is Mass with Thalapathy usual style. Bigil ‘s scenes with Rayappan are cute.”
Akshay Kumar, Kirti Sanon, and Riteish Deshmukh multistarrer film, Housefull 4 has become second-highest Diwali opening film after the Golmaal Again which had earned Rs 30 crore on its Day 1. Housefull 4 has opened up with Rs 19 crore as per early estimates.
Film trade analyst Girish Johar told a media daily about the Housefull 4 before its release, “Traditionally, the movie business remains dull ahead of Diwali as the people remain busy with the preparations for the festival.
He added further “The business will be slightly tight in the pre-Diwali weekend but if the films are good, they can benefit in the following week which also includes the Govardhan Puja and the Bhai Dooj holidays.”
He also said that “Housefull 4 will surely lead at the box office while the other two can bank upon the word of mouth. But eventually the better film among them will lead in the days to come,”
