Deepika Padukone’s next release, Chhapaak is hogging a lot of limelight these days. Ever since the movie has been announced, it is creating a lot of buzz. The movie, helmed by Meghna Gulzar is based on the life of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika recently took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of herself completely transformed into the acid attack survivor. When she shared her first look from the movie, everyone was shocked to see her. She was totally unrecognizable as she underwent all the makeup to get the look of an acid attack survivor. Deepika padukone started shooting for the movie a few days back with the team in the capital.

Now a video of Deepika Padukone shooting for the movie in Delhi is going viral over the net. The video also features her co-actor Vikrant Massey. In the video, Deepika can be seen completely transformed as Malti, her name in the movie. She is wearing a basic yellow and white suit in the video. Vikrant Massey on the other hand can be seen dressed simply and we can also notice that he has grown really heavy beard for this role.

Vikrant Massey is playing the role of Laxmi’s boyfriend and social activist Alok Dixit in the movie. Vikrant recently also shared his experience of working with Deepika Padukone in the movie. He shared, “Working with an actress of her calibre is not just an opportunity but also a huge responsibility. I’m both nervous and excited.” Director of the movie, Meghna Gulzar really wants to be close to the entire movie making process this time. In an interview, she also shared, “It was that organic because it’s such a moving story. And the decision to co-produce the film with her also happened organically because I wanted to remain close to it through the entire process.”

Laxmi Agarwal was attacked at the age of 15 by a 40-year-old man when she refused her proposal a couple of times. Coming back to Chhapaak, the movie is really special for everyone as it touches a really sensitive topic. The movie will release next year, January 10, 2020.
