Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding is going to be held after few hours at Windsor Castle on Saturday May 19. The experts revealed that the total cost of ceremony, it is £32 million (around $55 million CAD). Wedding Planning Company Bridebook has calculated how much they think will be spent on flowers, food, entertainment and on dress.

The couple marriage is the top ten most expensive weddings of all time, ahead of William and Kate’s estimated to have cost £20 million. According to the information the bulk of the royal costs will spend on security with Meghan’s dress, the flowers, food and drinks coming in at nearly a million pounds.

Their wedding security bill is expected to be higher than William and Kate’s wedding, even though there wedding was larger, due to the ongoing threat level. Weddings are known to be money pits. But when the world is watching, no expense will be spared.

  • £50,000 on lemon elderflower cake
  • £300,000 on glass marquee for evening reception
  • £110,000 on flowers to adorn the aisles of St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle          and St George’s Great Hall

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told that:

“Meghan is very mindful of wanting to send the right message with her gown.”

“It’s going to be iconic and fit the backdrop of Windsor Castle, but it would send off the wrong message to wear a dress that in cost alone would upstage Kate’s.”

A more intimate reception only for just 200 guests will host by Price Charles later in the evening, paid out of his bank account, again, and covered by the Duchy of Cornwall.
