Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit is on a same platform again KJO’s dream project.

Two of Bollywood’s popular pairings are set to return to the big screen for one of Karan Johar’s most ambitious film- Kalank. Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, along with Alia Bhatt,Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor, will feature in the movie. So this movie have a star studded cast. The epic drama, set in the 1940s, is produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the director is Abhishek Varman.

Karan Johar’s dream Project

Karan Johar has finally green-lighted his father and filmmaker Yash Johar’s fifteen-year-old dream project ‘Kalank’ which will now be directed by Abhishek Varman.According to reports, ‘Kalank’ is an epic emotional historical drama set in the 1940s and goes beyond borders. Even the movie had gone into the pre production stage but why it never took off is still not revealed. Finally this movie is going to come on 19th April 2019. In a press conference Karan Johar stated that:

“KALANK has been an emotional journey for me! A germ of an idea that I had nearly 15 years ago, a film that was in a pre production stage helmed by my father., am now proud to pass it onto the extremely capable and visionary hands of our director Abhishek Varman! A beautifully structured story by Shibani Bathija and an exceptionally fluid narrative and screenplay by Abhishek.”

Jodi of ‘Khalnayak’ is set to come together

After keeping silent for long about whether or not he is working with Madhuri Dixit on a film, Sanjay Dutt has finally confirmed the news. The actors, who are rumoured to have dated in the ‘90s, will be seen together in Kalank. Their last big release together was Khalnayak. The film is a period drama which also stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.

For all those who were eagerly waiting to see the Bollywood’s dhak-dhak girl Madhuri Dixit Nene unite with Sanjay Dutt yet again, you can finally rejoice. The sizzling jodi, that once created waves on the silver screen with their chemistry, is all set to work together after a long wait.
Earlier, late actress Sridevi was the part of this movie produced by Dharma Productions, which also stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. However, with Sridevi’s sudden demise, the movie’s announcement was put on hold. Later on, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor posted on her Instagram that Madhuri Dixit has stepped into Sridevi’s shoes for the movie.

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan Chemistry

After setting the screen ablaze with their sizzling chemistry in their debut film ‘Student of the Year’ which was helmed by Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt later continued the magic in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ which too proved to be a big success at the ticket counters.Varun and Alia have done three films together until now – Student of The Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Their cute chemistry both on and off screen has been setting serious BFF and relationship goals for all their fans. And considering Shiddat is also reportedly a romantic drama, we are really hopeful about the film.Abhishek, Karan and Alia have been working on the script, which is still in the premature stage, over the last two months. The shooting schedule is now being adjusted to suit Alia and Varun’s dates.

Varun Dhawan is also taking this movie as a great oppurtunity for his career and he is also feeling proud to be a part of this epic movie. He also tweeted:
