Shahrukh Khan to act in Rakesh Sharma’s biopic ‘Salute’

It’s confirmed Shahrukh Khan will play Indian Astronaut Rakesh Sharma in his biopic ‘Salute’. Currently Shahrukh is busy wrapping up Anand L Rai’s Zero which is due for release in December 2018. However no further news of his upcoming project after Zero was out. But now Shahrukh has finalised Rakesh Sharma’s biopic. Here are the details.

Shahrukh Khan finalised Rakesh Sharma’s biopic ‘Salute’ to be his immediate next.

Shahrukh Khan has finally given in dates from September for ‘Salute’. As per reports from sources Shahrukh is said to wrap up With shooting for Zero in April 2018. After that he has taken a break for next 3 months in which he will be preparing for his  role as an astronaut. He will be doing his own research with his team so that he can devote fully to the biopic giving his best.

Scheduled dates for Salute.

Shahrukh Khan will begin with his research and preparations from May 2018 and will begin the shoot from September 2018. He will shoot for 3 months till November and then take a break for the promotion of his film Zero. The shooting will be resumed from January 2019. The movie Zero will release anytime in 2019. However as the major release dates already booked it will be difficult for Shahrukh to get major holidays dates for his release.

How SRK was chose not for Salute.

For those who are not aware, Original choices for Salute were Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra. However after Aamir Khan walked out of the project the movie was then offered to Shahrukh Khan. After multiple sittings with the producers, Shahrukh has finally given his dates for Salute. As Priyanka has also denied the project, the lead actress of the movie is yet to be finalised.
