Irrfan Khan has reportedly met the producers of Blackmail and asked them to get the best possible release date. The Irrfan Khan’s Blackmail is scheduled to release on 6th April not affected by the actor’s ill health.

Irrfan’s ill health will not affect the release of the film.

Irrfan had announced that he has been diagonised with a rare disease and serious health complications. This led to the speculations and rumours about how it would affect Irrfan’s ongoing and upcoming projects. ‘Blackmail’ makers had met them to discuss the release to which he is reported to have replied that he wants the best possible release for the movie and that his health should not affect the release date. Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director Abhinav Deo are grateful to Irrfan Khan for his integrity and professionalism.

Director Abhinav Deo said:

“When I met Irrfan recently, he said please ensure that ‘Blackmail’ has a great release, emphasising that his film’s release date should not suffer owing to his ill health at this time.”

He added:

“We will ensure ‘Blackmail’ has a great release.”

Bhushan Kumar also mentioned that:

“Our prayers are with Irrfan and his family. We are hopeful that he will recover from his illness. As per his wish, we will release ‘Blackmail’ on April 6 in the best possible manner.”

Blackmail starres Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari in the lead roles and also has Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao.

The trailer of Blackmail was released on 22nd February 2018. It features Irrfan Khan as a common man Dev who finds out that his wife is cheating on him. He tries to take revenge with his wife by trying to blackmail her boyfriend and ends up himself paying for the same. Besides the real blackmailers find this out and go behind him. It’s a dark yet funny and a crazy thriller.
