Story (which doesn’t exist) of the Movie:

Welcome to New York Review
Welcome to New York Review

The movie starts with a long list of ‘Thanks’  to celebrities who made their presence felt at the IIFA this year. Just as you are trying to get over it there comes an icing on the cake. There are absurd sounds coming with the fake laughters of celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Tapsee Pannu, Sonu Sood and Anil Kapoor. And trust me it’s not at all funny.

The movie begins in a posh meeting Room where Gary (Boman Irani) and Sophie (Lara Dutta) announce their plan to board of IIFA awards. It’s a talent hunt the winners of which will get a chance to share the green carpet with the biggest celebrities of the Industry. Unfortunately the plan goes awry and Sophie decides to take revenge on Gary’s show.

She purposely selects Teji (Diljit Dosanjh) a sloppy recovery agent and a struggling actor and Jinal Patel (Sonakshi Sinha) a tacky fashion designer thinking that her this move could finish Gary’s career forever.

Meanwhile comes the double role of Karan Johar, Arjun a daunting gangster and Karan a film maker. Arjun intends to destroy Karan Johar.

The rest whole film revolves around how Jinal and Teji prepare for their act and Arjun plotting to kidnap Karan with intention to revenge.

It is disheartening to see how such talented actors become a source of mockery because of the non existent writing. Welcome to New York is a movie these actors would wish to secretly disappear from their portfolio. It is nothing but a DISASTER. If I am to be believed – It’s best to keep this movie at arms length.
