Sonu ke titu ki sweety Box Office Collection might be affected by its double delay. Initially stated to release on  3 November 2017, the movie was pushed to 9th February. The date might have worked really well for the youth oriented comedy entertainer due to Valentine’s week.  But the shift of Padman, got the movie in a fix.

Finally/ hopefully the Movie will release on 23rd of February. Ignoring, both Padman on 9th and Aiyaary on 16th.

The Story

Directed by Luv Ranjan, the movie is basically an open war between Bromance and Romance. Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) and Titu (Sunny Singh) are close friends. Titu has presumably find his perfect match Sweety (Nushrat Bharucha).

The comedy of errors and misunderstanding ensue when Sonu suspects the innocence and Character of Sweety. Neither of them is ready to back down and plots against each other.  The climax is all about who backs down and whether the friend wins or the girl friend.

The makers of made Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 are returning with the same cast. The Formula is have a light hearted comedy film that appeals the youth and their sentiments.

The 2 hours and 05 minutes film will hit around 1500 plus screens. Expected earning is around Rs. 10 to 15 crore on 1st day. Similar to Padman, this movie’s business also depends on word of mouth. The growth or de-growth will depend on it.

The approximate collection of the first day however is around 50% higher than its predecessors. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 & Guest In London managed to earn Rs 7 crore.

With a Budget of 40 crore (30 Production cost + 10 Print publicity); and 12 crore already recovered from Music, Satellite and Digital Rights. The movie is headed for a happy ending.


While the dialogues have been the USP of such small budget youth oriented film. This time around Music is adding beats to the promotion. The remixed version of Dil Chori and the re-remixed version Chhote Chhote Peg by Yo Yo Honey Singh are topping the charts.
