Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki: everyone has high expectations from the comeback film of once ‘Queen of Bollywood,’ Hichki. The first song of the Rani Mukerji starrer has been released today and it deals with a lot of Hichki.
The song has it’s special underlying message attached to it:
“यह पानी से जाने वाली हिचकी नहीं है, समझ से जायेगी”
It is a satire remark to the societal discriminations that are common in our country. The message clearly says that this “Hichki,” hiccup, will not be solved by just water, It will eradicated by intelligence/knowledge.
The song takes us around the street of Mumbai, where some people are breaking the barriers surrounding them. Removing their life’s respective “hitchki.”
A girl with prosthetic leg learns how to dance. Another one fights the societies discrimination against her darker colour. Then a group of girls, shows the surrounding boys that they can play Football as well. Maybe even better than them.
Harshdeep Kaur, lends her soulful voice to the song. Jaideep Sahni weaves the magic of words in the music by Jasleen Royal.
The song is for promotion and is a part of the ongoing promotional campaigns. As a part of strategy the song was released at the Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School with all her teachers. The Official Instagram page of the movie shared the Launch Picture.
Hitchki is story of a girl who has Tourette Syndrome. The syndrome is a nervous system disorder, in which the sufferer makes involuntary movements or sounds repetitively.
The underlying message of the film that One can convert their so called weaknesses into strengths with the right attitude. All they have to is face the troubles head on with utmost positivity and honesty.
Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, the film is produced by Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Banner. The film is slated to release on 23rd March.
