Padmaavat Box Office Collection Day 8: ‘Padmavati’ in full swing, close to 200 crore club

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat (Padmavati) has a strong hold on the Box Office. With just 8 days on screen and the film easily crosses 150 crore mark. The roles of the lead actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor has been highly appreciated by the audiences.

Inspite of the Super controversy and oppose by the Rajputs and the Karni Sena Sanjay Leela Bhnsali’s Padmaavat has managed to create a strong hold on the Box Office. The high budget film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali had been opposed on the grounds of defaming Rajputana Shaan and the release became difficult due to bans laid by various State Governments. The release of the film had to be delayed by several months to overcome the ordeal but once it made it to the Big Screen it’s now unstoppable. The film has crossed the 150 crore mark in just 7 days.

Padmaavat (Padmavati) is recieving good response from the audience and has crossed 150 crore mark in just 7 days. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh via his tweet gave the detailed collection details of Padmaavat. With 12.5 crore Collection on Wednesday the gross total collection till Wednesday is 155.5 crores. The detailed break up of the same is as under:

1. 24th January – (Paid preview) – 5crore

2. 25th January – Thursday- 19 crore

3. 26th January – Friday – 32 crore

4. 27th January – Saturday – 27 crore

5. 28th January – Sunday – 31 crores

6. 29th January – Monday – 15 crores

7. 30th January – Tuesday – 14 crores

8. 1st February – Wednesday – 12.5 crores

Total :- 155.5 crores

The Karni Sena had left no stone unturned to stop the release of the film. With riots and violence at various places, burning of posters and buses, they had created an atmosphere of immensely terror to make sure that even if the film makes it to the Big Screen people will be terrified and won’t go for the movie. But thankfully nothing of that sort happened and after the release the atmosphere was peaceful and safe giving the movie Opening that was expected.
