Controversy against the film.
The Karni Sena had opposed the release of the film on the allegations of dream scene between the Queen Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) and the Mughal Emperor Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) and that the film was defaming the Rajputana glory. Inspite of clarifications given by the makers of the film denying any such scene the Karni Sena didn’t listen and continues violence resulting in the ban of release of the movie. The movie was delayed by 2 months because of the ban laid by various states. Ultimately the Supreme Court raised all the bans and permitted the release of the movie.
People were however reluctant going for the movie due to safety issues. However the terror free first day boosted the confidence of the audience giving the movie the massive opening as expected by the makers. The movie refuses to slow down and is all set to break records.
