We can’t foretell the future but we can take you for a ride of the Past. Over the last few years thigh-high slits have become quite a trend at the Oscars Red Carpet. After all flashing a lot of leg gets them plenty of attention.

Angelina Jolie, 42, set the upper limit for the Thigh High Slit at 2012 Academy Awards Red Carpet.

Well not just the thigh trend but we guess it started the meme trend as well. Astonishingly the Leg got its own twitter account called “Angie’s Right Leg.” The account raked 15k followers by the end of the ceremony.

Obviously, Jennifer Aniston‘s slit was compared to Jolie’s slit immediately. The difference is that the figure hugging gown had a slit on the left leg. The slit almost went up to her hip now that’s called high competition.
