On 20th April 2017 it was announced that the next direction of Clint Eastwood would be based on the book ‘The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train, and Three American Heroes‘. It was announced that the casting would start immediately and further announced later that year that Eastwood had chosen Kyle Gallner, Jeremie Harris and Alexander Ludwig to act as Alek Skarlatos, Anthony Sadler and Spencer Stone. However no official offer was made to them. But later on Clint decided that he would rather cast the 3 American heroes themselves i.e. Alek Skarlatos, Anthony Sadler and Spencer Stone.
