Serena Williams is all the set to return to the court. After almost an year and just five months after her delivery.
As announced by the the U.S. Tennis Association, Williams will return to compete against the Netherlands in Asheville, North Carolina, on Feb. 10-11. Representing the country in its first-round Fed Cup matches. She will joined by her sister Venus Williams.
Serena recently did an exclusive interview with vogue. Her little angel became the youngest cover star as well. She disclosed, the complications she had to face during the delivery. Daughter Alexis Ohanian Jr.will inspire the her to play better. Williams also admitted that she wants to win 25 Grand Slam Single to set a new record.
The tennis champion’s last official match was Australian Open in January 2017 for her 23rd Grand Slam singles title then. She announced her pregnancy during the tournament, welcoming baby girl in September 2017.
Captain Kathy Rinaldi team will lead both William sisters. Venus is a seven-time major champion. The sisters will play in a team together after 3 years. As Venus last played Fed Cup in February 2006.
Joining the tea is CoCo Vandeweghe,a semifinalist at the Australian Open and U.S. Open last year. The last and fourth member of the team will be announced later.
The U.S. Team took the Fed Cup home last year.
