New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2018, The list of Headliners

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2018 has announced the list of performers for this year.

The Jazz Fest 2018 will have stars like Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffett, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Sting, Jack White, David Byrne, Lionel Richie and Beck among others.

When and Where

The 49th edition of New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2018 will start on April 27th and entertain till May 6th. The festival will be organised at the Fair Grounds Race Course at 1751 Gentilly Boulevard.

As per the Organizers, the Festival celebrates the indigenous music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana.  In other words the festival encompasses music from every style associated with the city and the state.

The Fans are treated with over 500 bands performing on 13 Stages. Apart from a lot of Contemporary and Traditional Jazz, the fest will have Blues, rap, R&B, gospel, Latin,Cajun, country,Afro-Caribbean, folk, rock, bluegrass, zydeco and everything in between.

Jazz Fest presents one of the world’s most diverse music festival lineups.


According to the Press release by the Jazz Fest

“Advanced tickets for Jazz Fest are $65.  The gate price ticket will be $80.  Children’s tickets (ages 2 – 10) are still only $5 and are available at the gate only.  This year “Locals Thursday,” a longstanding Jazz Fest tradition, will cost only $50 at the gate on May 3 for Louisiana residents who present valid identification, up to two admissions per resident.”

“This year Jazz Fest celebrates the City of New Orleans’ 300th anniversary.  The Cultural Exchange Pavilion will serve as a focal point of the Tricentennial Celebration at the Festival with a special program highlighting the multicultural fabric of the City. In addition to the New Orleans’ renowned Creole and African heritage, the Pavilion presentation will shed a light on lesser-known contributions by Native Americans, Germans, Irish, Italians, Vietnamese and Hispanics among others, through artist demonstrations, live music and dance showcases, authentic food, parades, photo exhibits and cultural displays.”
