The final Installment of the Maze Runner series is here. And by the looks of it, Maze Runner:The Death Cure is here to stay.
20th Century Fox’s YA movie made a $24 Million Premiere at the North American box office, till early Friday returns.
Maze Runner:The Death Cure is the third and last film of the series. Adapted from James Dashner’s dystopian-themed books.
Hit to Jumanji : Welcome to the Jungle
Jumaji reboot is in it’s sixth weekend. The Christmas movie has broken records across the globe. The Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart starrer stuck to the top spot at the box office for the past three weekends. The sixth weekend finishes at around $15 million. Taking the total to $337 million domestically.
Christian Bale Civil War drama “Hostiles,” and Fox’s Musical “The Greatest Showman” both are fighting for third place with $9.5 million. The Greatest Showman’s total at the end of sixth week is $126 million from 2,663 screens.
Next up is Steven Spielberg’s “The Post,” staring Meryl Streep as Katharine Graham, Washington Post publisher alongside Tom Hanks.
The Maze Runner franchise has been quite dependable for Fox since 2014. The first opened with $32.5 million and went up to $102 million. “The Scorch Trials,” received $30 million and grossed $82 Million in 2015.
The threequel stars Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. All three installment is directed by Wes Ball. O’Brien portrays the role of a young man fighting for survival in a dystopian world. Due to an injury to O’brien, the movie has been delayed for a year.
