You can experience a million emotions through a song. But when a song echoes emotions of millions, it becomes a Grammy Worthy Performance. Kesha performed her single “Praying” on the stage of 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.

It would be an understatement to say the performance gave everyone jitters. Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Andra Day, Julia Michaels and Bebe Rexha and the Resistance Revival Chorus joined the pop singer.

Kesha and her army gave solidarity a whole new meaning. It summed up Kesha’s plea of #MeToo and her strength to say #TimesUP.

Undoubtedly, this years’ award season has Times up Moment as an undercurrent. The Grammy Awards extended it support through White Roses on the red carpet. But when Kesha took the stage with “Praying,” the undercurrent leapt to another level.

Dressed all in white, the ladies took to stage after Janelle Monae gave them a befitting welcome. The singer and actor’s speech had a strong disapproval of sexual misconduct and gender inequality across industries.

“We come in peace, but we mean business. And to those who would dare try and silence us, we offer you two words: Time’s up.”

 

“Praying,” is the first release of Kesha in almost four years. The songstress has been battling a gruesome legal battle with producer Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald). The later is accused of drugging and abusing Kesha emotionally and sexually. Gottwald has long denied those claims.
