Grammy 2018: Nominations List

The Recording Academy has announced names for the nominees in the 60th GRAMMY Awards.

Andra Day revealed the 4 Big categories of Grammy Awards– best new artist, record of the year, song of the year, and album of the year

At 8:40 a.m. ET/5:40 a.m. PT, the Recording Academy declared nominations about all 84 categories via GRAMMY.com and social media platforms.

Here’s just a small list of the contenders nominated for the Best New Artist in the Grammy 2018,

1. Alessia Cara:

“Here”, was her first song, which was an ultimate fire in the year 2015. It was dubbed by MTV which was attributed as “the new song for everyone who secretly hates parties.”

Alessia Cara’s first album was also out soon after her debut song, including Miss. Cara’s third single best on the Radio “Scars To Your Beautiful” which became the chart hit when it escalated to the 8th number on the Billboard Hot 100.

In  2017 she was a total hit for some awesome marquee collaborations on Zedd’s “Stay” and Logic’s “1-800-273-8255.” “Stay” is chosen for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, while the latter (“1-800-273-8255”) is nominated for Song Of The Year.

2. Khalid:

Khalid, a singer and also one songwriter with his atomic success given by his own released numbers on SoundCloud got him to tap for a numerous like, “artists you need to know” records by publications such as Billboard and Rolling Stone just a few months later to his high school graduation.

The very first official single, given by Khalid was, “Location,” released before the end of his higher secondary graduation period. “Location” received more than 17 million plays on YouTube.

Khalid is just 19 and is nominated for a total of five GRAMMY Awards in 2018, with his Best R&B Song-nominated “Location” and Best Urban Contemporary Album-nominated American Teen rounding out his acceptance.

3. Lil Uzi Vert:

Lil Uzi Vert put himself noticeable to the genre of cloud rap. With a sound often winding between hip-hop and rock genre of styles, his music is sometimes known as “emo rap,” though the 23-year old artist aims strenuously to bypass genre tags.

Lil Uzi Vert is nominated alongside breakout trap trio Migos for his feature line on their summer smash hit “Bad And Boujee.”

4. Julia Michaels:

Before coming into the spotlight of her debut song, “Issues,” Julia Michaels was already a famous songwriter with writing honors for top-class performers including Demi Lovato, Gwen Stefani, Hailee Steinfeld, Linkin Park, Fifth Harmony, and Justin Bieber.

“I just thought, ‘I can’t do that. I can’t give this song to somebody’,” Michaels explained.  “That was my very first feeling of wanting to sing my own words.”

Julia Michaels is specified for two GRAMMY Awards in 2018, with “Issues” bringing the singer/songwriter an additional permission for Song Of The Year.
