The bilingual movie Spyder starring the South Indian actor Mahesh Babu hit the legit worldwide on 27th September. The movie opened with packed cinemas as the movie has received good responses universal.
The movie directed by AR Murugadoss, known for Ghajini and Holiday, has got all essential details to restrain as a good spy thriller. Since the time the teaser of the movie released in June 2017 this was the most anticipated Telugu movie after “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”. And the movie has already been declared a hit after its tragic run of one weekend.
The movie grossed around Rs.51 crores on Friday worldwide, out of which Rs. 23.4 crores are estimated to have been earned from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone.
On day 2, the movie collected in about Rs.21 Cr. According to sources, the movie grossed about Rs.85 crores worldwide in just 3 days and has forded Rs 100 crore. Even before its release, the movie collected about Rs 150 Cr with its distribution and other rights. For a movie made on the estimates of about Rs. 120 crores, the box office acquisitions of the movie must satisfy the producers of the movie. The movie has been made in Tamil and Telegu languages but given that fact, the movie has done some pretty business in the overseas market too. The movie is expected to earn more money due the festive season.
In the movie, Mahesh Babu plays the role of Shiva who is an intelligence bureau officer who sets on a mission to track down the psychopathic Bhairavudu (In Telegu, referred as Sudalai in the Tamil Version), played by S. J. Surya. Rakul Preet Singh plays the role of the love interest of Shiva in this movie.
The cast also includes RJ Balaji, Bharath, Priyadarshi Pullikonda and Shaji Chen in important roles. The screenplay of the movie is signed by the director AR Murugadoss, whereas the music has been composed Harris Jayaraj.
Though the movie received mixed reviews, the critics have glorified Mahesh Babu and S.J. Surya for their performances in the movie.
The movie’s collection might slow down a bit during the weekdays but it is still expected to end up as one of the highest grossing Telugu movies of this year.
