We weren’t ready for this.
In spite of Instagram teasers for Taylor Swift’s video for her brand-new track “… Ready for It?” was pretty hard to prepare for the visuals that were terrifically packed with robots, lightning, and Swift as a naked cyborg. The delivery of sci-fi and anime-inspired moves were pre-eminent throughout the video and were as visible from the animations looking like to those of a computer game.
Swift revealed the video’s release date on Monday with a series of trailer clips posted to her social media.
In the anime-inspired visional, Taylor Swift performs with stuff observed in sci-fi films such as Blade Runner and Tron As well as Ghost in the Shell, particularly Major Motoko’s cyborg shell. Perhaps, there was also a bit of the computer game franchise, Final Fantasy.
The new video appears nearly two months after Swift momentarily made headings with the first video from her upcoming album, Reputation. The clips from her single “Look What You Made Me Do” saw Swift funneling her previous selves and declaring “the old Taylor” as dead.
The Swift of Red, 1989 and even Speak Now came out to play for the new track which was launched last month. The brand-new tune is seemingly spun around Swift’s current partner Joe Alwyn, whom she has been dating since late last year.
” Some young boys are attempting too tough/ He doesn’t attempt at all though, Younger than my exes however he imitates as such a male, however,” Swift sings on the track.
In tune, Swift is head-over-heels in love– a modification from the dark, scathing sound of “Look What You Made Me Do.”
“The old Taylor might be gone, but the new Taylor is well worth the wait November 10th … Ready for it? #iseewhatyoudidthere #reputation,” she posted on Instagram.
Just hours after releasing “… Ready for It?” the vocalist kicked herself from the leading place on the U.S. iTunes chart where her severe single “Look What You Made Me Do” had been relaxing at previously.
Recently, Swift amazed her fans with a preview of “Gorgeous,” which is the third track to be launched off the highly anticipated new album.
“Reputation” drops on Nov. 10 and is available for pre-books now.
