ROSE MCGOWAN CONTINUES HER PUBLIC RAGE OVER TWITTER AFTER GETTING HER ACCESS BACK

After being blocked from using Twitter for 12 hours, Rose McGowan was again given access to her Twitter account and she continued lashing out on the Harvey Weinstein and people she thinks helped him to cover the entire issue. Rose McGowan even accused the movie producer of raping her. But her main target was the co-founder and CEO of Amazon,  Jeff Bezos. She mentioned him in all her tweets, one of which said, “I told the head of your studio that HW raped me. Over & over I said. He said it hadn’t been proven. I said I was proof.”

In response to all of this, a spokesperson of Harvey Weinstein reported said, “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein.”

Rose McGowan wrote six tweets in total addressing Jeff Bezos, one of which is mentioned above. Whereas, the other five are as follows :

1. “I had already sold a script I wrote to your studio, it was in development. When I heard a Weinstein bailout was in the works”

2. “I forcefully begged studio head to do the right thing. I was ignored. Deal was done. Amazon won a dirty Oscar.”

3. “I called my attorney & said I want to get my script back, but before I could, #2 @amazonstudios called to say my show was dead”

4. “I am calling on you to stop funding rapists, alleged pedos and sexual harassers. I love @amazon but there is rot in Hollywood”

5. “Be the change you want to see in the world. Stand with truth. #ROSEARMY #Amazon”

Earlier, Rose McGowan had revealed that Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulted her in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival back in 1997.

The last week’s New York Times article which exposed Harvey Weinstein of three decades of sexual assaulting and harassing of female actors in the show business also read that Rose McGowan was the part of a settlement with Weinstein in 1997 after the hotel room incident took place. According to a legal document reportedly reviewed by the New York Times, the out of court payout of $100,000 was “not to be construed as an admission” by Weinstein, but intended to “avoid litigation and buy peace”.

On the side of the story, a spokesperson from Twitter explained why he account temporarily blocked from access and said,”We have been in touch with Ms. McGowan’s team. We want to explain that her account was temporarily locked because one of her Tweets included a private phone number, which violates our Terms of Service. The Tweet was removed and her account has been unlocked. We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future.Twitter is proud to empower and support the voices on our platform, especially those that speak truth to power. We stand with the brave women and men who use Twitter to share their stories, and will work hard every day to improve our processes to protect those voices.”

It is safe to that the whole Harvey McGowan issue will run for quite some time ahead and there will be more allegation made with every passing day.
