“PERFECT ONE TIME WATCH”
Simran is a movie which headers on a part not apart from ‘queen’ that is being a badass. It mainly centers women with an intrepid spirit who is absolutely living by her own rules. A 30-year old divorcee living in the US with a middle-class Gujarati family who has an affronter dad, a helpless Bollywood mom putting no efforts to make any difference to the family matters (but cries her life out), it anyway stays the same. Her father running a business of Gujarati snacks ( the well-known missile bombs from 3 Idiots – khakra~thepla~handwa), who wants his daughter to help him in the Pushtaini business culture, while the character Prafulla wants to live a freewheeling life. While her trip to Vegas for her friend’s hen party, she spends all her money gambling, in a Vegas casino (but that oh so foxy red Dress; ahem ahem ahem ) which propels her to a life of criminals.
OKAY I KNOW, EVERYTHING SOUNDS NATURAL SO FAR BUT I WAS REALLY NOT EXPECTING THIS FROM KANGANA FROM ‘QUEEN’. WHAT SAY ?
The movie has some eccentric humor which keeps on appearing between the scenes which end up with a saving grace to viewers eyes. The only thing bothering the movie are parts where she loots. “Kangana trying to loot banks, leaving her fingerprints all over the notes (rather, everywhere) is running away so easily. Kinda hard to believe? (……)
The lipstick bandit got away with dozens of heist and Cops (J o k e r s) turning out to be helpless; doing nothing, till they tracked her car.
‘SIMRAN’ is a movie which didn’t come out to be an extraordinary but is definitely worth for the viewers (NOT THE KANGANA FANS, TO BE VERY SURE). Kangana is a great actress, but If we talk about the efforts made, I will clap really hard for her (because it seemed like, we watched Queen and Tanu weds Manu in a better-combined version). “Agar kuch sahi mein chua” i.e. The song Meet by Sachin Jigar, also Arijit Singh adding that oomph to it.
That’s all folks.
