Miss Missouri Jennifer Leigh Davis has been proved a great example of multiculturalism as she amazingly performed on a Bollywood song ‘Naacho Re’ which is from film ‘Jai Ho’ in the talent round of esteemed beauty pageant called ‘the Miss America 2018’.
There is no denying the fact that Bollywood dances have made its own position at international level. The rhythmic and peppy songs and its foot-tapping beats have gained a huge fan following in various nations of the globe. Jennifer Leigh Davis’ dance to the tunes of Bollywood and winning hearts everywhere is a real instance of Indian songs’ popularity among US people.
The 23-year-old Miss Missouri danced beautifully on the tunes of the song ‘Naacho Re’. After watching her dance, everyone has to admit that she pretty much nailed the moves. Although we couldn’t get our hands on her dance video, the contestant herself shared some gifs with us from the event and it’s clear that she rocked the number. Bollywood dance choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan popularly known for ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ fame did a great job with clean cuts and agile motions.
Jennifer Leigh Davis is a student of communication and she believes in fighting for insertion and acceptance of diverse cultures at international level. With an aim to encourage our next generation for the inclusion of diverse culture, she authored a children’s book named ‘Diversity Matters’. She doesn’t want to see the same injustice with diverse cultures that we are seeing today.
Davis took her this opinion to Instagram as well to express her love for Bollywood and diverse cultures. She shared an important message along with a picture of her dancing in Indian traditional dress lehenga-choli, “Why do you do Bollywood, are you even of the culture”. She said that she gets this question all the time and her response to this is because she loves it. According to Jennifer Davis, it doesn’t matter where you come from, the beauty of dance has a common denominator and that is the love of dance. Besides her love of diverse culture, she keeps faith in practicing what you preach.
